After posting data on the realized price for many investor categories including old whales, new whales, miner balances, etc he projected the bull run to take its course this year. Replying to an X user on the conditions if participants dumped 20% of holdings, he added that even a 30% dip from the all-time high would not trigger a bear market. Last month, the price soared past $109K, setting a 30% mark around $77K, citing past cycles. This fueled new optimism among traders today, as bulls point to a recovery before the end of the month. “I don’t think we’ll enter a bear market this year. We’re still in a bull cycle. The price would eventually go up, but the range seems broad. I personally think that the bull cycle could continue even with a -30% dip from ATH (e.g., 110K → 77K), as seen in past cycles.” Bitcoin price trading below $100k sparked a series of major upsets on the broader market. First, retail traders sold huge holdings, watering down anticipation for the bull beak. While institutional volumes are major indicators, retail numbers are also crucial to increased adoption. Furthermore, present trends caused major outflows in altcoins below the previous support levels. Institutional Investors Back Major Rebound Like Young Ju, several industry participants and institutions have restated bull predictions. Amid retail outflows, institutions capitalized to buy the dip, creating favorable positions ahead of a recovery. Recently, huge whales picked up large amounts of assets coupled with a move out of exchanges. A major driver of BTC sentiment remains spot ETFs in the United as products continue to attract inflows. These funds have led to many firms making significant investments as mainstream exposure soars. Recently, Ark Invests CEO Cathie Wood restated a $1.5 million bull case by 2030.

The contrasting fortunes for crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended into Wednesday, Feb. 19’s trading session. Ether ETFs attracted net inflows totaling $19.02 million with Fidelity’s FETH leading the positive trend. The fund attracted $24.47 million in new investments and despite, Grayscale’s ETHE experiencing an outflow of $5.45 million, ether ETFs closed the day in the green. This extended the inflow streak for ether ETFs to the 4th day with investors continuing to favor ether ETFs over bitcoin ETFs in the current market conditions. On the other hand, bitcoin ETFs faced a challenging day, recording a net outflow of $71.07 million. Fidelity’s FBTC bore the brunt with a substantial withdrawal of $48.39 million. Other notable outflows included Valkyrie’s BRRR at $9.27 million, Ark and 21Shares’ ARKB with $8.65 million, and Vaneck’s HODL seeing a $4.77 million exit. Notably, no bitcoin ETFs reported inflows during this period, reflecting a cautious sentiment among bitcoin investors. This contrasting movement between ether and bitcoin ETFs highlights the evolving trading patterns of crypto investors. Since February, ether ETFs have seen 9 days of inflow as against just 2 days of outflows. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs see $64.1M in net outflows on February 19 U.S. spot Bitcoin $BTC ETFs saw a combined net outflow of $64.1 million on Feb. 19, according to data from Trader T's X account and Farside Investors. This marks the second consecutive day of net outflows. Fidelity's FBTC witnessed the largest outflow of $48.4 million, followed by ARK Invest's ARKB ($8.7 million) and VanEck's HODL ($4.8 million). Valkyrie's BRRR also experienced an outflow of $2.2 million. The other ETFs, including BlackRock's IBIT, saw no change in their holdings.

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States flipped to net weekly outflows over the past week, ending their six-week inflow streak that brought in over $5 billion. According to data from SoSoValue, the 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $585.65 million in net weekly outflows for the week ending Feb. 14, breaking a six-week inflow streak that brought in over $5 billion. Notably, the week began with $186.28 million in outflows on Feb. 10, which continued with $56.76 million, $251.03 million, and $157.78 million over the next three trading days. That said, the investment funds ended the week on a slightly positive note with a modest $66.19 million in net inflows. Fidelity’s FBTC attracted the majority of inflows for the day, with $94.04 million entering the fund, ending its negative flow streak recorded over the previous four trading days. The spot Bitcoin ETF is the second-best-performing BTC fund, with $12.5 billion in cumulative net inflows since its launch. BlackRock’s IBIT followed with an inflow of $22.26 million, while Bitwise’s BITB and Grayscale’s mini Bitcoin Trust also contributed to the positive momentum, recording inflows of $7.99 million and $6.46 million, respectively. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB and VanEck’s HODL also posted modest losses of $13.19 million and $4.43 million respectively. Meanwhile, the nine spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $26.26 million in weekly outflows for the week ending Feb. 14. After finally beginning to gain traction with investors, ETH funds appear to be building momentum. Similar to BTC, ETH funds ended the week on a positive note with a modest $11.65 million in net inflows, all of which flowed into Fidelity’s FETH, while the other funds saw zero flows on the day.
