According to a report by The Block on November 22, Mt. Gox stated in an email that the Mt. Gox trustee plans to begin repaying debts to creditors in cash starting in 2023. However, given the large number of creditors involved in the restructuring, repayment may continue until 2024.
As previously reported by BlockBeats on September 21, cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox announced a change in repayment deadlines. The original deadline for basic repayment, early lump sum repayment, and midterm repayment, which was scheduled for October 31, 2023, has been extended to October 31, 2024.
