Bitcoin Network Hashrate Reaches All-Time High
April 17th news, according to CloverPool data, Bitcoin's total network hashrate once exceeded 1000 EH/s, reaching a historical high, and is now reported at 893 EH/s; the current seven-day average hashrate of the entire network is 888.85 EH/s. While the growth in Bitcoin's hashrate signifies an increase in network security, it also means the cost of mining one Bitcoin is rising. Combined with the reduction in block rewards from the Bitcoin halving in 2024, the growth in hashrate may lead to the integration of small mining companies.
