Sei Foundation Launches $65 Million DeSci Venture Fund Sapien Capital
According to BlockBeats, on January 30, The Block reported that the Sei Foundation has launched a $65 million venture fund focused on decentralized science (DeSci).
Justin Barlow, head of business development and investment at the Sei Foundation and former investor at Solana Ventures, told The Block that the venture fund is called "Sapien Capital—Open Science Fund I" and will invest exclusively in DeSci startups built natively on the Sei blockchain. The Sei Foundation has fully invested $65 million in the fund, but may work with external investors or limited partners in the future.
