Rejected Reasons of Individual Verification / KYC

For users who applied for ID verification but being rejected due to specific reason(s), please refer to the following details/explanations before resubmitting your KYC application.

Type Rejected reasons Solutions
Invalid document / Missing info The system detects that the personal details on the profile is incorrect or missing.

Full Name, Date of Birth and Validity Date must be clear and readable.

International passport, national identity card, driver's license *residence permit* are acceptable.

*Residence permit can be accepted for certain countries/region only.
Invalid photo from document

The uploaded documents might exhibit blurriness, cropping, or intentional masking of identity information.

The uploaded photo of ID is irrelevant.

Your facial display (from ID) must be clear.

Editing/cropping of photo is NOT allowed.

Ensure all four corners of your ID are clearly displayed within view.

Damaged document The quality of the uploaded document is in poor condition or damaged. Please ensure that the entire document is visible or readable.
Not original document The system detects a screenshot/scan copy/printed/edited document that is not acceptable.

Editing/cropping of document through imagine processing softwares (Photoshop, etc.) is NOT allowed.

Make sure the uploaded documents is from the original file (such as pdf, jpeg format).

Black and white document System detects monochromatic (black and white) photos of documents. Please upload the original colored document/screenshot.
Missing document page System has identified that certain pages from the uploaded documents are missing.

Please upload a new image of the document, ensuring that all four corners are visible.

Please provide new images of both the front and back sides of the document, that containing important details.

Absence of middle name Incomplete info of full name. Applicant did not enter middle name (if any) as per ID/passport/driver's license. Make sure the full name is provided during the KYC application:
1. Family name
2. Given name
3. Middle name (if any)
Mismatch/Different language of full name Applicant entered full name but in different language. For example, applicant used his/her Chinese name from ID, but uploaded passport which only has full name in English. Make sure the full name is submitted according to the language of ID/Passport/driver's license.
Requirement for manual review On the third photo on manual review, applicant did not upload a photo of self-holding ID/passport/driver's license. To upload the third photo, you need to take a photo of yourself holding your ID/passport/driver's license.
Expired document The system detects that the uploaded identity document is expired. Please ensure that the identity document remains valid and has not exceeded its expiration date.
Unmatched face / Document does not match with the face recognition

The system detects that documents in the profile belong to another person whereby the applicant's face does not match the photo from document.

The system failed to proceed due to poor quality of face recognition.

Ensure the facial features must be clear and visible, to match with the uploaded document (must be the same person).

Please make sure only one person is doing face recognition. Follow instruction and avoid dark environment while doing the face recognition

Service Restricted Countries The system detects that you are from a region or country that is not supported by Bitget. To comply with the rules and regulations of the individual countries, Bitget does not support users from the following countries: Canada (Alberta), Crimea, Cuba, Donetsk, Hong Kong, Iran, Luhansk, Nehterlands, North Korea, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, United States, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Central African Rep, Congo (Kinshasa), Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Lebanon, Somalia, South Sudan.*

*Region restriction is subjected to changes, to comply with rules regulation.
Politically Exposed Person (PEP) The system detects you under Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or sanctioned individual To comply with policy, Bitget does not support KYC from Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or sanctioned individual.
Below 18 years old The system detects the applicant does not meet the age requirements. To comply with Bitget policy, Bitget only supports users aged 18 or above.
Repeated use of document/KYC The system detects the same ID information is verified under another Bitget account.

Please be informed that Bitget only allows one KYC/ID verified per one account for each individual.

ID information can only be removed when the account is deleted.
