4. How much money will be temporarily frozen when I authorize a transaction using Bitget card?

When you authorize a transaction using Bitget card, we will freeze an amount that is 120% of the order amount.

5. Why is there a 20% additional freezing amount incurred?

The additional 20% freezing amount acts as a security measure to ensure that sufficient funds are available to cover any potential fees or charges that may arise during the transaction process.

6. What happens to the extra freezing amount after the transaction is cleared?

Once the transaction is fully cleared successfully , the extra freezing amount will be automatically unfrozen and made available in your Bitget card balance. You can use this amount for future transactions or withdraw it as per your convenience.

7. How long does it take for the extra freezing amount to be unfrozen?

The unfreezing process usually occurs immediately after the transaction is cleared. However, depending on the processing time of the Visa payment network or bank involved, it may take a short period of time for the funds to reflect in your Bitget card balance.

8. How long does it take for the transaction to be cleared?

The clearance time for a transaction may vary depending on several factors. In general, most transactions are cleared within 7 business days. However, some transactions may take longer to clear.

9. Can I earn interest on the funds in my Bitget funding account?

The primary focus of the Bitget Card is on spending crypto rather than earning interest on funds. However, we will introduce features related to earning interest in the future. Check up on the Bitget platform for updates.

10. What happens if my payment gets refunded?

Refunds of any kind will always be made in USDT (Tether) into your funding account as soon as we receive the refund from Visa.

For example, if your account was debited 1,000 USDT (Tether) for an eligible purchase, and you claim a full refund later, the refund will be debited into your funding account in USDT (Tether). However, please note that the refund amount will be adjusted to account for any applicable processing fees and foreign exchange fluctuations. Therefore, the refunded amount may be lower than the original debited amount, as it will exclude these fees and charges.

11. What if I have been overcharged or charged for transactions I didn't make?

We encourage you to first contact the merchant and try to resolve the issue. If the merchant declines the refund and you have sufficient proof, you may initiate a dispute for our team to review. Make sure to provide as much information as possible, including but not limited to transaction details, amount, merchant name, description of goods and services purchased, reason for dispute, supporting documents, and communication with the merchant.

Please send your complaint to card@bitget.com, and our dedicated dispute resolution team will get back to you.

12. Will you ever block a transaction without me asking?

We may refuse to pay a transaction:

  • If we are concerned about the security of your Bitget Card or account or we suspect your Bitget Card or account is being used in an unauthorized or fraudulent manner;

  • If sufficient funds are not available in your funding account at the time of a transaction to cover the transaction amount and any applicable fees;

  • If your funding account has a negative balance;

  • If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you are not using the Bitget Card or account in accordance with these terms and conditions;

  • If we believe that a transaction is potentially suspicious or illegal (for example, if we believe that a transaction is being made fraudulently);

  • Due to errors, failures (whether mechanical or otherwise), or refusal to process a transaction by merchants, payment processors, or payment schemes such as Visa.

If we refuse a transaction, we will immediately inform you of the reason unless it is unlawful for us to do so. You may correct any information we hold that may have caused us to refuse a transaction by contacting customer service.

13. Can I lock or cancel my Bitget Card if it's lost or stolen?

Yes. If your Bitget crypto credit card is lost or stolen, you can easily lock or cancel it through the Bitget mobile app or Bitget webpage. Alternatively, you can contact Bitget customer support for immediate assistance.
