We regret to inform you that a recent wave of phishing scams has targeted our community. Scammers are sending fake escrow payment emails that appear to be from our platform, attempting to deceive you into disclosing sensitive information or making unauthorized transactions.
You can verify emails and Telegram accounts associated with Bitget
here.
Below is an example of a fake email:
Bitget P2P does not provide any escrow services. Bitget P2P will never ask a user to release funds without receiving them in a bank account. Bitget P2P will never request passwords, private keys, or sensitive information via email, chat messages, or Telegram. Bitget has no control over banking transactions and does not guarantee any banking delays on money transfers.
To prevent P2P phishing scams:
-
Never release crypto without receiving funds in your bank account. Do not trust screenshots or screen recordings as proof of money transfer.
-
Do not share your email ID or Telegram ID with any merchant. Do not engage in trading with merchants who exhibit suspicious behavior.
-
Verify the sender's email before taking any action. Always cross-check with our official website or support channels.
-
Refrain from clicking on suspicious links or downloading attachments from unknown sources.
-
Be cautious of any email requesting sensitive information or urgent actions. Do not share personal information or passwords via email.
-
Immediately report suspicious emails and merchants who ask for your email ID or Telegram ID to p2p@bitget.com, so that we can take appropriate measures.
-
Enable two-factor authentication for added security.
Action Required:
To enhance the security of your account and protect against phishing attempts, we have launched the Anti-Phishing Code. This code consists of a personal identifier that will be included in all our official communications. If the code is missing or incorrect, the email is likely a scam.
Here's what you need to do:
-
Log in to your account and open your Security Settings.
-
Locate the Anti-Phishing Code section and generate your unique code.
-
Memorize this code and ensure you don't share it with others.
Your safety is our utmost concern. Let's work together to keep our community safe from these malicious threats.
