Shaquille O’Neal Settles $11 Million Lawsuit Over Astrals NFT Project
Florida federal court judge Federico Moreno approved the settlement on April 1, 2025, creating an $11 million fund for eligible class members. Additionally, $2.9 million is allocated for attorney fees and costs. The compensation is for those who purchased Astrals NFTs between May 2022 and January 15, 2023, as well as those who bought GLXY tokens until mid-January. Judge Moreno confirmed the fairness of the attorney fees, as reviewed by the plaintiffs. The lawsuit, filed in May 2023, accused O’Neal of founding and promoting the Solana-based Astrals NFT project, involving the sale of unregistered securities and resulting in financial losses for buyers.
