According to unchainedcrypto, at the Senate Banking Committee hearing, SEC Chairman nominee Paul Atkins stated that he is concerned about reports of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF)'s parents and Stanford University profiting from the FTX fraud incident.
Atkins promised to review the SEC's investigation into the connection between SBF's parents and Stanford Law School.
In addition, Republican Senator John Kennedy criticized the SEC for its slow response to this event, emphasizing that he will continue to question who is responsible. The hearing was the first step in confirming Trump's four nominated financial officials.
