Report: Despite the increased difficulty in Bitcoin mining, the price of mining hash remains stable

Despite a slight increase of 1.4% in Bitcoin mining difficulty, the price of Bitcoin mining hash (the income miners get from mining blocks per unit hash power per day) still remains at about $48 per petahash/second (PH/s). Data from CoinWarz shows that on March 23rd, at block number 889,081, the difficulty of Bitcoin mining climbed to 113.76 trillion, higher than the previous cycle's difficulty of 112.1 trillion. According to TheMinerMag report, a hash price below $50 would put financial pressure on miners operating older hardware like Antminer S19 XP and S19 Pro. Older hardware combined with continuously declining network transaction fees could push some miners into unprofitable situations - forcing them to shut down their hardware until they upgrade Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) or network conditions change.
