Shiba Inu Community Works Towards SHIB ETF Listing With Major Companies

After Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Solana (SOL) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) officially entered the SEC validation process, the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency community is stepping up efforts to launch an ETF specifically for the token. Major asset management firms such as BlackRock and Grayscale Investments have been called upon by cryptocurrency enthusiasts to formally consider the possibility.

The movement gained further prominence after a petition on the Change.org website addressed directly to Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein reached more than 16.666 signatures. The document asks the manager to follow in the recent footsteps of successful Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and adopt the meme cryptocurrency into its institutional portfolio.

The influential group “Shibzens,” which brings together SHIB enthusiasts, has made a solid case for the creation of the ETF, highlighting in particular the strong community surrounding the token. With millions of active and engaged users, SHIB has significant potential to ensure consistent demand, good liquidity, and long-term stability – all of which are essential elements for the success of an ETF.

Another point highlighted by the group is the technological infrastructure behind the coin. Shibarium, a second-layer solution launched in August 2023, offers real-world applications for SHIB. The blockchain enables the development of decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and digital payments, in addition to integrating complementary ecosystem tokens such as BONE and TREAT. This diversity could further boost the ETF’s appeal.

Furthermore, the low unit value of the SHIB token makes it particularly attractive to retail investors. Unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, which require large initial investment amounts, SHIB allows for broader market participation, which makes it easier for retail investors to enter the cryptocurrency sector.
