Argentine President Javier Milei has launched a special memecoin for himself, according to a post he shared on his social media account.

Argentina's unconventional president, Javier Milei, has followed Donald Trump's lead and issued a memecoin for himself called LIBRA, according to a post he shared on X.

It seems that 86% of the token's total supply is held by the development team or whales, and there is also the possibility that the Milei X account was hacked and a fake token was issued. Therefore, we will not include the contract address here.

In his statement from his X account, Milei introduced the token launch as follows:

“Liberal Argentina is growing. This special project will be dedicated to stimulating the growth of the Argentine economy by providing funding to small Argentine companies and enterprises. The world wants to invest in Argentina.”

The Argentine president also shared the same token on his official Instagram account. Considering the low probability of both accounts being hacked, Milei may have indeed launched his own memecoin.

Donald Trump launched his own memecoin called TRUMP just one day before his inauguration. Milei is known to have good relations with the US and frequently collaborates with Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
