Strategy Acquires Gigantic 7633 Bitcoin For $742 Million
Strategy, a business intelligence firm formerly MicroStrategy, acquired 7,633 Bitcoin (BTC) for $742.4 million, averaging $97,255 per Bitcoin. According to a post on X , this acquisition is part of the company’s long-term investment plan. So far in 2025, it has achieved a notable 4.1% Bitcoin yield year-to-date (YTD).
Strategy’s BTC Holdings Reaches 478,740 BTC
Furthermore, the latest purchase has brought the total Bitcoin holdings of Strategy to 478,740 BTC, which they acquired for $31.1 billion over time. This means the firm’s average price for buying Bitcoin is $65,033. It also shows their commitment to buying the leading cryptocurrency at reasonable prices over the years.
Notably, Strategy’s recent purchase shows its strong belief in Bitcoin as a valuable asset. With Bitcoin priced over $97,000 per coin, this acquisition helps Strategy take advantage of Bitcoin’s growth while managing its investments wisely.
Meanwhile, Strategy has a history of successful Bitcoin investments and remains an essential player in the cryptocurrency market.
Strategy Gears Up for More Bitcoin
Some days ago, the software intelligence firm doubled down on its BTC accumulation strategy .
The Virginia-based firm plans to raise $563 million through a Perpetual Strike Preferred Stock (STRK) offering. The Nasdaq-listed company announced it will issue 7.3 million STRK shares at $80 each. As usual, all the profits will be funneled into buying more Bitcoin and other corporate purposes.
Meanwhile, Strategy’s Chairman Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin strategy has gained substantial shareholder support.
A recent vote approved additional shares issuance, meaning more capital raises could be coming soon. This would further cement the company’s status as the world’s most aggressive corporate Bitcoin buyer.
Strategy and Relentless Bitcoin Accumulation Spree
It is worth noting that Strategy has used every available financial tool for the past four years to buy Bitcoin.
This varied from convertible notes to direct stock offerings. It recently bought 10,107 BTC valued at $1.1 billion , marking twelve weeks of aggressive Bitcoin purchases. Following the transaction, the company announced a redemption notice for its 2027 convertible senior tranche, valued AT $1.05 billion.
With another $563 million incoming, Strategy is making it clear that it has no plans to slow down . These acquisitions position MicroStrategy as the most significant corporate Bitcoin holder, holding over 2.5% of Bitcoin’s total 21 million supply.
