A Remarkable Statement from a Famous Name! "This Altcoin Should Definitely Be Included in the US Reserve Besides Bitcoin!"
Omni Network co-founder Austin King argued that XRP should also be included in the US reserve.
Donald Trump, who officially took office last week, is eagerly awaited to establish a national Bitcoin reserve.
At this point, while other altcoins other than Bitcoin were also mentioned for the national reserve, the most talked about here was XRP.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also argues in his statements that the reserve should not consist of just a single token, but should include various tokens such as Bitcoin and XRP.
XRP Has More Advantages Compared to Bitcoin!
As strategic reserve discussions continue, Omni Network co-founder Austin King argued that XRP should also be included in the US reserve.
King noted that XRP has an advantage over Bitcoin that justifies its inclusion in the US strategic reserve.
At this point, the Omni Network founder listed why XRP could be a valuable choice for US reserves and its advantages over Bitcoin in terms of functionality.
King first argued that including only Bitcoin in the US crypto reserve would limit the utility of BTC.
According to the famous name, while Bitcoin was designed to serve as a decentralized store of value, XRP was created specifically to modernize and improve the financial system.
Secondly, Bitcoin prioritizes decentralization, which leads to slower transaction speeds, while XRP focuses on high performance, which makes it a more practical option for onboarding financial institutions, according to King.
At this point, Austin King shared a video of Ripple former CTO Stefan Thomas explaining the advantages of XRP compared to Bitcoin to support his claims about XRP Bitcoin.
Thomas stated in this video that XRP is 1,000 times faster than Bitcoin in terms of transaction confirmation times, XRP has more predictable and cost-effective transactions, Bitcoin transactions cost several dollars or more, but XRP transactions only cost a fraction of a cent.
After all this comparison, King argued that XRP could provide more value for the strategic reserve than Bitcoin.
Diversity is Necessary!
The Omni Network founder finally argued that diversifying the reserve would be more beneficial, stating that including only Bitcoin would limit the reserve to a single use case that functions as digital gold.
King said that American politicians also think like him:
“Including only BTC would limit the reserve to only one use case for crypto. Including other assets like XRP would allow the reserve to leverage all crypto use cases.
Blockchains will offer much more than just digital gold.
We have the potential to create an open financial foundation for the world, but you need a high-performance network like XRP to make it happen.
“I'm not the only one who sees this. It's increasingly clear that lawmakers in the United States share the same view.”
Approaching $200,000,000,000 in market cap $XRP is one of the top assets being considered for the U.S. strategic crypto reserve.
However, most people are missing the real reason why it might be included.
