World Mobile and Tenity Launch $25M Grant Program to Boost DePIN Innovation
- The $25M Grant Program is available to a wide spectrum of applicants, including established businesses and early-stage entrepreneurs.
- An important milestone in World Mobile’s goal to build a more decentralized, inclusive telecom ecosystem has been reached.
The decentralized wireless network World Mobile and Tenity have announced the launched of a $25 million Grant Program . A new wave of blockchain-driven solutions that combine decentralized technology with physical infrastructure is anticipated as a result of this effort, which aims to promote Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) innovation.
Tenity, an early-stage investor and world leader in innovation programs and company acceleration, has partnered with World Mobile to oversee the Grant Program. Tenity is working with worldwide partners including VISA, SIX, Ripple, and Microsoft. Tenity has a presence in six international hubs and has facilitated over 250 corporate-startup partnerships. Tenity has backed several successful Web3 enterprises.
In order to expand on the World Mobile Chain, Tenity will use its experience to find and support initiatives that can tackle important issues in decentralization, blockchain adoption, and governance.
Micky Watkins, CEO of World Mobile Group stated:
“By partnering with Tenity, we’re ensuring that the World Mobile Chain Grant Program doesn’t just fund projects but provides the guidance and resources necessary to drive scalable, impactful innovation. This collaboration reflects our commitment to empowering developers who share our vision of a decentralized, inclusive future. Together, we can unlock the potential of DePIN to transform telecoms and expand connectivity to underserved communities.”
Andreas Iten, CEO at Tenity stated:
“We are excited to partner with World Mobile on this transformative initiative. The World Mobile Chain Grant Program is an extraordinary opportunity for developers to push the boundaries of blockchain and decentralized infrastructure. We look forward to guiding these projects and helping them achieve meaningful impact in the DePIN ecosystem.”
The $25 million Grant Program is available to a wide spectrum of applicants, including established businesses and early-stage entrepreneurs, and offers funding beginning at $5,000. Its objective is to encourage innovation within the DePIN ecosystem, with an emphasis on:
- Decentralized Communications: Services and infrastructure that make safe, scalable networking possible.
- Cross-Chain Interoperability: Bridging Web3 ecosystems and Web2 apps.
- On-Chain Security and Governance: Creating procedures and models that improve network resilience.
- Decentralized Identity Management: Utilizing zero-knowledge technologies to improve security and privacy.
- Tokenization of Real-World Assets: Developing blockchain-based solutions to bridge the digital and physical realms.
The capabilities of the World Mobile Chain (WMC), which last week achieved a major milestone with the launch of its public testnet, serve as the foundation for the World Mobile Chain Grant Program. Specifically designed for Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), WMC is the first blockchain. Developed on Base, WMC is an EVM-compatible Layer 3 that offers a high-performance platform that has already drawn several projects, including well-known industry leaders, who have opted to build on WMC rather than other blockchains.
An important milestone in World Mobile’s goal to build a more decentralized, inclusive telecom ecosystem has been reached with the cooperation with Tenity and the introduction of the World Mobile Chain Grant Program. This program is expected to open up new doors for investors and innovators alike by fusing financial support, technical assistance, and mentoring.
