Data: In 2024, Ethereum and Base chain user growth took the lead, while Bitcoin saw almost no growth
According to Cryptopotato, the 2024 on-chain user report released by Flipside shows that Ethereum and Base chain users are leading in growth in 2024, while Bitcoin has hardly grown. Specifically:
1. The number of new monthly users on Base surged 56 times this year. In October 2024, the number of new users in the crypto field soared to a record-breaking 19.4 million, with Base contributing 13.7 million - almost eight times more than second-place Polygon.
2. Ethereum's average monthly increase was 1.56 million new users, surpassing L2 networks Arbitrum and Optimism. The number of super-users related to DeFi on the Ethereum chain reached 10.9 million, far exceeding Arbitrum and Optimism's numbers at six hundred twenty thousand and one point eight million respectively.
3. The number of new Bitcoin users only increased by nine hundred thirty-five thousand nine hundred per month; during March when Bitcoin prices rose sharply, the monthly increase in Bitcoin network users grew by nineteen point two percent but fell by twenty-eight point five percent after November’s US elections.
