Nvidia projects growth in agentic AI as revenue hits $35.1B
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasised the company’s focus on advancing agentic AI technologies following record third-quarter revenue of $35.1 billion.
The impressive results, driven by robust demand in Nvidia’s data center segment, represent a 17% increase from the prior quarter and a 94% jump year-over-year, solidifying the company’s leadership in AI computing.
“The age of AI is in full steam, propelling a global shift to Nvidia computing,” Huang stated during the Q3 earnings call on Nov. 20.
He highlighted the increasing adoption of agentic AI, a cutting-edge technology enabling autonomous decision-making and goal-directed behavior across industries.
Nvidia projects continued growth, forecasting $37.5 billion in revenue for Q4.
Agentic AI systems are designed to operate independently, breaking down complex tasks into actionable steps, making decisions with minimal human intervention, and adapting to changing environments.
Nvidia aims to lead this field by providing advanced computing platforms like Hopper and Blackwell GPUs and robust AI software frameworks to support the development of these systems.
“We see the number of AI-native companies continue to grow, and enterprise adoption of agentic AI really is the latest rage,” Huang noted, emphasising the rising demand among enterprises eager to integrate autonomous AI technologies.
Nvidia’s advancements in agentic AI align with efforts by other tech giants.
Microsoft has also prioritised this technology, with CEO Satya Nadella recently introducing tools to enable AI systems to act autonomously in professional and personal settings.
Despite Nvidia’s strong financial performance, its stock dipped 2.5% to $142 in after-hours trading, according to Google Finance.
Similarly, AI-related tokens showed limited reaction to the earnings report, with most declining except for Bittensor (CRYPTO:TAO), reflecting evolving investor sentiment in AI and associated markets.
