Gemini United issued a statement condemning Gensler: No amount of apologies can make up for the damage to the crypto industry
On November 17, Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss published a post criticizing Gary Gensler, the chairman of the U.S. SEC, stating that he should never again hold a position of influence or power.
Any company, university or organization that hires him or collaborates with him after his time at the SEC is betraying the crypto industry and should be strongly resisted. This is the only way to prevent such abuses of government power from happening in the future. Gary Gensler's actions cannot be explained as well-intentioned mistakes. His actions are entirely deliberate and calculated to advance his personal political agenda at all costs - even if it means destroying an industry, tens of thousands of jobs, people's livelihoods, billions of dollars in investment capital and more.
Ironically, his anti-social ambitions have ultimately ruined his own party. Tyler Winklevoss stated that no amount of apologies can make up for the damage Gary Gensler has done to both the crypto industry and our nation. Such individuals should not exist within any institution regardless its size. Americans have had enough seeing their tax money flow into a government supposed to protect them but instead used against them by politicians who want to see their careers succeed. It's time to put an end once and for all this sickening trend.
