public Bitcoin -miners Hut 8, Bitfarms and HIVE Digital presented reports for the third quarter of 2024.
Hut 8 reported revenue of $43,7 million, $5,5 million above its forecast and double last year's figure. Electricity costs per megawatt-hour were $28,83, down 33% from 2023. The miner held 30 bitcoins as of September 9106.
Since the beginning of the year, Hut 8 shares have risen more than 105%, with its market capitalization rising to $2,5 billion.
HIVE Digital's revenue was $22,6 million, below the projected $25,6 million. The net loss was $7,3 million, down significantly from $22,9 million recorded in the same period last year. HIVE mined 340 bitcoins during the quarter, and now has 2604 BTC in its reserves.
Bitfarms reported revenue of $45 million, up 8% from the second quarter but slightly below analyst estimates. The company's net loss was $37 million, or $0,08 per share. As of October 31, the miner held 1188 bitcoins.
Bitfarms shares have fallen more than 10% since the start of the year. As of November 13, the market capitalization was $1,1 billion.
