Immunefi suspends TrustSec over bug bounty dispute
Web3 bug bounty platform Immunefi has issued a 90-day suspension notice to white hat security company Trust Security. Previously, Trust Security accused Immunefi of unfairly refusing to pay bug bounties, citing a serious vulnerability that could lead to fund theft. On November 12th, Trust Security revealed on X that its bounty team had discovered a serious fund theft vulnerability on a forked mainnet of an unnamed project. The proof of concept for the vulnerability has been shared with Immunefi, which acts as an intermediary between white hats and projects to ensure that bounties are paid out reliably after a valid vulnerability is identified. However, Immunefi claims that Trust Security detected a vulnerability that was beyond the scope, which would actually disqualify the white hat from receiving the bounty.
