Argent launches crypto card with no fees and self-custody
Argent has introduced the Argent Card, a self-custody crypto payment card that prioritises user control and security.
Unlike typical crypto debit cards that require third-party custodians to manage funds, the Argent Card ensures users retain complete control over their assets.
The company, known for its expertise in crypto security, highlighted that the card utilises secure intelligent contract technology, which has remained secure since its inception.
This technology is also trusted by major crypto exchanges, reinforcing the card’s reliability.
The Argent Card integrates seamlessly with Argent Mobile and Kulipa, allowing users to manage their crypto directly from the app without needing seed phrases or transferring funds.
This approach simplifies the payment process, aiming to make crypto transactions as straightforward as traditional banking.
The card’s design adds to its appeal, described by Argent as “a work of art,” aligning with the company’s mission to blend function with aesthetic quality.
One of the most notable features of the Argent Card is its zero-fee structure.
Unlike many crypto payment cards that impose transaction or conversion fees, Argent’s fee-free model presents a more attractive option for users.
This move reflects Argent’s commitment to offering a user-centric solution that reduces barriers to spending digital assets without additional costs.
Currently, the Argent Card is in its alpha phase, with limited access.
Argent plans to expand access and roll out the card to a wider audience by 2025, using the phased approach to gather feedback and enhance the product.
The company is also working on new partnerships and additional perks to increase the card’s value.
