Aptos partners with crypto-AI startup to enhance Move tools
The Aptos Foundation has partnered with decentralised AI platform FLock.io to develop AI-driven tools for its custom blockchain programming language, Move.
This collaboration aims to simplify coding on the Aptos (CRYPTO:APT) network by leveraging a specialised large language model (LLM) tailored specifically for Move.
FLock.io’s LLM has demonstrated superior performance compared to other state-of-the-art models like ChatGPT-4 in generating Move-specific code, delivering enhanced accuracy and readability.
The partnership seeks to address a key challenge: Move is a relatively new programming language, initially developed by Meta (formerly Facebook) for its Diem stablecoin project.
Although praised for being more accessible than Ethereum’s (CRYPTO:ETH) Solidity, its recent introduction means adoption can be challenging for developers unfamiliar with its structure.
Bashar Lazaar, head of grants and ecosystem at the Aptos Foundation, emphasised that Move’s adoption could be daunting without appropriate tools.
With FLock.io’s AI technology, the foundation aims to bridge this gap by making the development process on Aptos more accessible, secure, and efficient.
FLock.io CEO Jiahao Sun noted, “By focusing on Move, we’re not just enhancing a programming language; we’re empowering developers with tools that make complex blockchain operations simpler, more secure, and more efficient.”
This initiative aligns with the broader trend of developers turning to AI platforms like OpenAI’s ChatGPT to optimise coding, including tasks like smart contract creation and audits.
Move, which is also employed by competing networks like Sui (CRYPTO:SUI) and Movement (CRYPTO:MOVE), is gaining traction in the smart contract ecosystem.
At the time of reporting, the Aptos price was $9.98.
