SignalPlus: For cryptocurrencies, the most favorable outcome is Trump's election victory and the Republican sweep of both houses
In its latest post, SignalPlus pointed out that the current market focus is on the U.S. election. For cryptocurrencies, the most favorable outcome would be Trump's victory and a Republican sweep of both houses, which would give the digital asset reform plan supported by Trump/Vance a chance to pass through Congress. The next best scenario is Trump winning but with a divided Congress; in this case, the reform plan may encounter some resistance from the House Financial Services Subcommittee, although senior incumbent Maxine Waters has previously urged for stablecoin legislation to be included in defense bills.
On the other hand, if Harris wins but Congress is either divided or controlled by Republicans (the probability of Democrats sweeping is lower), it will bring more uncertainty. So far, Harris has not detailed any policy goals related to cryptocurrencies and only stated her intention to "encourage innovative technologies such as AI and digital assets."
