The Plan ₿ Forum, a key event in the blockchain and cryptocurrency calendar, is returning for its third edition on October 25-26, 2024, in Lugano, Switzerland.

Organized by Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry, in collaboration with the City of Lugano, this forum has become a significant platform for discussions on the democratization of finance through cryptocurrency adoption.

This year, the forum will feature an elite lineup of speakers, including members of the Assange family, renowned for their advocacy of freedom of speech and information.

Plan ₿ Forum To Continue For Two Days

The forum’s agenda spans two days of panels and discussions centered on the role of cryptocurrencies in financial freedom and personal privacy. With the inclusion of the Assange family, this year’s event takes on added significance.

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been a prominent figure in the global conversation about transparency, free speech, and information access.

Joining the Assange family will be figures such as Filip Karađorđević, CSO at JAN3, Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, and Nick Szabo, a legendary cypherpunk.

Other prominent attendees include Jameson Lopp, CTO at CASA, Elizabeth Stark, CEO of Lightning Labs, and Fadi Elsalameen, Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Bitcoin Policy Institute.

The forum also serves as a celebration of Bitcoin and blockchain technology’s growing role in enabling financial freedom and boosting cryptocurrency transactions in Lugano.

Since March 2022, Tether and Lugano have worked together on the Plan ₿ initiative, which aims to make Bitcoin and Tether’s USD₮ stablecoin de facto legal tender in the city.
