Financial services firm Euroclear acquires strategic stake in Singaporean blockchain firm Marketnode
On October 17th, financial services company Euroclear acquired strategic equity in Singaporean blockchain company Marketnode. The specific acquisition amount was not disclosed. Euroclear's investment aims to use blockchain technology to modernize the financial market infrastructure, with a focus on simplifying fund management and reducing settlement times through distributed ledger technology.
Marketnode was founded in 2021 by the Singapore Exchange Group and Temasek and operates two blockchain platforms: Gateway and Fundnode, which focus on tokenization and digital fund management.
