Cysic enhances Scroll’s ZK rollup efficiency with advanced hardware integration
Quick Take Cysic will accelerate ZK proof generation for Scroll’s Layer 2 system. Founded in August 2022, Cysic raised $6 million in February 2023.
Cysic Network, a zero-knowledge proof layer, announced Tuesday it is providing substantial ZK computing power to Ethereum-based Layer 2 Scroll. Cysic’s hardware and software solution will significantly reduce latency and improve the efficiency of zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) generation, according to a press release.
“This partnership with Scroll is an important step for Cysic towards scaling Ethereum faster and more efficiently,” said Leo Fan, co-founder of Cysic. “By reducing ZK proof generation from hours to minutes with our GPU servers, we’re not only accelerating Layer 2 scaling but also laying the groundwork for blockchain innovation. As the demand for faster, more efficient transactions grows, having adaptable and high-performance infrastructure becomes essential."
Cysic was founded in August 2022 and raised $6 million in a February 2023 seed round led by Polychain Capital.
Scroll has become a major player in the Layer 2 ecosystem, with its TVL recently eclipsing $900 million. It recently announced plans to airdrop a native token and has also been connected to World Liberty Financial , the Trump-supported DeFi protocol. To maintain a high level of performance and security, Scroll is delegating the proving tasks to Cysic, filling infrastructure gaps.
"This integration brings us closer to achieving Scroll's mission of offering developers the best infrastructure to provide our users with a fast and secure onchain experience,” said Sandy Peng, co-founder of Scroll. “By continuously seeking to enhance our technology across our entire stack, we have discovered Cysic strengthens our capabilities for having the highest throughput and fastest finality of all ZK rollups."
