With the rapid growth of our community, Upland is thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new starter city! This time, we’re heading to the Washington D.C. hub and unveiling Frederick, a city rich in history and buzzing with potential. Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned Uplander, Frederick is set to be an exciting addition to the Upland universe.

Unlike our traditional Vanilla city launches, all property collections will be disclosed in advance! This gives players a strategic edge, allowing them to plan their next moves with complete transparency. So get ready to dive in and start building your dream portfolio with confidence.

As a designated Fair Start Act (FSA) city, Frederick is designed to offer a fair playing field for new players, with ~80% of properties marked as FSA. If you’re just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to claim your stake and begin your journey in Upland.

Terminal Sale

For players looking to lock down prime transport hubs, the Frederick Train Terminals will be available soon! However, keep in mind, these terminals will only be available through Upland’s web store and will be dropped to players directly.

Fredericks City Opening Stress Test

Help us prepare for the Fredericks City release by participating in the Fredericks City Stress Test on Monday, September 30th starting at 8:00 AM PT. If all goes well, the full city will open at 9:00 AM PT.

At 8:00 AM PT, the Stress Test will begin with the unlocking of all properties in the Downtown neighborhood of Fredericks. Players are encouraged to mint as many properties as possible during the test to generate high levels of activity. The more you mint, the better your chances of winning!

At 8:05 AM PT, Treasures will begin to appear on minted properties throughout Downtown, with new Treasures spawning every 5 minutes. Most Treasures will grant enough UPX rewards to cover send fees, but each Treasure also has a chance to contain 10k UPX!

At 8:15 AM PT, Sends will be dropped in Fredericks, but they will only spawn in the test neighborhood, Downtown.

At 8:30 AM PT, the last wave of Treasures will spawn, and the Stress Test will officially end at 8:45 AM PT.

If everything goes smoothly, the full city of Fredericks will open at 9:00 AM PT.

Participating in the Fredericks City Stress Test will also earn you a chance to win up to 1,000 $SPARKLET! The number of entries and possible prizes are listed below.

Earning Giveaway Entries:

• Each property minted in Downtown earns 5 entries into the giveaway (up to 25 entries for 5 mints).
• Each Treasure claimed in Downtown earns 5 entries (up to 15 entries for 3 Treasures).
• Each Send to a property within Downtown earns 1 entry (up to 5 entries for 5 Sends).
• All qualifying actions must take place between 8:00 AM PT and 8:45 AM PT.
