Chromia Teases Major Ecosystem Expansion Roadmap Ahead of TOKEN2049 Presentation
The Layer-1 relational blockchain, which debuted its first public mainnet earlier in 2024, is preparing for the next phase and ecosystem expansion.
In a revised roadmap released today, Chromia outlines short-term development objectives and positions the company for big announcements during their speaking slot at TOKEN2049 Singapore, which takes place on September 18 and 19 at the Marina Bay Sands Resort.
By obscuring goals beyond the event, the roadmap adopts a novel strategy that builds community expectation for what the platform will hold until the end of 2025.
Deliverables like as the introduction of Native Staking, Bridge Enhancements, and the mainnet launch of Filehub, a decentralized file storage service, are also included in the timeline and are anticipated by the end of Q3 of this year.
Filehub will allow bigger token metadata, including pictures, animations, videos, and music, to be stored on-chain. The service will provide decentralized website hosting in addition to general-purpose storage.
In keeping with its larger plan, Chromia has launched Filehub to serve as a data service layer for Web3 applications in the cryptocurrency arena, therefore enhancing its already strong gaming ecosystem that boasts projects like Mines of Dalarnia, My Neighbor Alice, Chain of Alliance, and Cloudborn.
Henrik Hjelte, Chromia’s co-founder stated:
“TOKEN2049 will be a pivotal moment where we outline our future plans. The big idea is that our Mainnet is ready, and now we’re shifting our focus to ecosystem expansion.
Getting a spot at TOKEN2049 is a crucial step in Chromia’s expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region, which started in December 2023 with the appointment of Yeou Jie Goh , a former executive at DeFiance Capital, as Head of APAC.
On Thursday, September 18, in the afternoon, the Chromia team is expected to give a presentation. The whole roadmap will then be revealed.
