Leonidas, the founder of Runestone, stated on social media that he resists pre-sales and the pre-sale culture entering Bitcoin every day, and is disrupting Runes memecoin. Celebrities and venture capitalists can do whatever they want with memecoin on other chains, but they are not welcome on Bitcoin. Open runic mints and fair airdrops are viable alternatives to launching memecoin in a decentralized manner, without internal manipulation of distribution. There is no reason for us to tolerate corporate memecoin on Bitcoin.
