Derbit options block trading data: short BTC volatility, bullish ETH
On May 30th, according to market data released by Derbit officials, a user sold a total of 125.5 BTC in call and put options for June 14th with a strike price of $68,000, receiving a premium of $664,000. This was done to short volatility, believing that the market will continue to fluctuate around the $68,000 price level until June.
In ETH options trading, a user paid $1,773,000 to buy 11,000 ETH call options with a strike price of $4,000 at the end of June, while selling call options with a strike price of $5,000 at the end of June to reduce costs.
