Digital Securities issues second tokenized real estate, Sumitomo Life Insurance invests
The startup company Digital Securities, supported by banks, announced its second tokenized real estate issuance in Japan. Sumitomo Life Insurance is the main institutional investor, and Blackstone Real Estate Fund provided support for this tokenization. Digital Securities' supporters are Marubeni and regional Joyo Bank, which provides loans for tokenization structures. Digital Securities' two security tokens are supported by Blackstone Group's real estate fund, with investments from the fund placed in a trust fund. Blackstone Group only targets qualified institutional investors in Japan. This issuance converts "anonymous partnership interests" into security tokens.
