Indexed Finance Thwarts Two Hijacking Attempts, Returns DAO Control to Founders for Victim Compensation
Indexed Finance, which suffered a $16 million hack in 2021, has successfully prevented two hijacking attempts on its remaining treasury. The DAO control will be returned to its founders, who plan to allocate the remaining funds to victims of the 2021 hack. The Indexed community mobilized against the attackers' proposals, with a 'poison pill' proposal approved to deter future attacks. The remaining treasury will now be used to compensate victims of the hack, with DAO control returning to a multisig controlled by the founders.
